Berggruen Bodrum Gümüşlük Phase 2
Once the ancient Carian city of Myndos, the village of Gümüslük is located on the western tip of the Bodrum Peninsula. Gümüslük has a tranquil atmosphere with natural beauty, architectural ruins dating back to ancient Greece, and excellent regional cooking.
The majority of Gümüslük village is an official archaeological site. It is one of the best preserved areas in Bodrum, with a strong local character, due to strict development guidelines established by the local Municipality. Gümüslük Beach with charming, family run establishments, and authentic atmosphere is entirely open to the public, and is known for its spectacular sunsets. Although Gümüslük is quite peaceful, entertainment on a much larger scale is available in nearby locations such as Yalikavak and Türkbükü.
Two international marinas, Turgutreis and Yalikavak, each within 10 minutes driving distance to Gümüslük, provide convenient access for sailing as well as shopping and entertainment. Driving distance from the Milas/Bodrum International Airport is approximately 45 minutes.

Bodrum Gumusluk Phase 1 - completed
Berggruen Gümüşlük's homes comprise, type A and type B, both emphasizing a lifestyle that combines indoor and outdoor living spaces as one. Berggruen Gümüşlük is set on a hillside above Gümüşlük covering 24,000 m2. With views to the west, there are brilliant sunsets over the sea and islands in the distance. The site has direct access to the main road connecting to Gümüşlük village approximately 3 Km. away.
Architecture
Berggruen Gümüşlük's 1st phase has been designed by Swedish architect and industrial designer Thomas Sandell, one of the leading architects currently working in Europe. His plan for Berggruen Gümüşlük called for flexible and compact living spaces that are open to nature and the wonderful Aegean climate of Bodrum. All houses are arranged to provide views of the sea and mountains while mainting privacy. The architecture features a simple white geometry reminiscent of the traditional Bodrum village house, yet appealing to contemporary tastes and usage. Terraces and patios enhance outdoor living while natural materials and modern designs are used in the interior areas.
Landscape
The landscape of Berggruen Gümüşlük is designed by Natur Orienterad Design AB of Stockholm. NOD's design emphasizes sensitivity to the natural rough landscape of the Project land. Built on a field of olive trees, NOD have designed the location of the houses around the original flora of the land.
Other additional flora such as vines and jacaranda trees will be added to the landscape further increasing the appeal of the Project.
