The houses we have drawn for the rich cultural landscape of the Bodrum region embodies this knowledge of building for equal amounts of sunlight and shade, with open and inviting views combined with private, protected outdoor areas.

These constructional traditions, formulated through strict rules, create several small buildings within the frame of one house. The pergolas break out of the building's pattern, partly connecting everything together, while providing the necessary shadow and intimacy in-between the houses. The window shutters can be extended outside the corners of the house and provides even more privacy from the outside world.

These simple yet untraditional measures create a complexity that evolves the buildings construction. All the different angles and directions keeps adding new views and motion to the surroundings.
